The binding is cracked and split but it is not brittle and, in my opinion, it looks pretty cool. You will notice in the pictures that it is NOT in perfect condition.

The mahogany back, flame maple top, and maple neck with ebony fret board create a really nice contrasting finish, and it just feels great to play.

It is done in a Sam Maloof oil rub finish. Once I saw the top on this one I decided to just do a natural finish. 99% of the original parts were there, I just had to come up with some screws and a few pieces of the locking nut.

No, they wanted it to be stained a dark reddish color and then of course when it didn't turn out, they decided never to put it back together! So I spent a year or so refinishing and piecing the box of parts back together. Unfortunately, when I bought it someone had decided that they didn't want it to be that color. They only made around 100 of these in '87.

The AR 350 Supers were only made for a few years and only in three colors: Marine Burst, Fire Red, and Arctic Pearl. I was skeptical at first as that sounds like a gimmick, but these guitars are what they say they are. This is a really cool guitar, and you don't have to play it for long to understand why they were dubbed "The Les Paul Killer".
